Jürgen Schwenkglenks was born in Traunstein in 1956. Classical
guitar studies at the State music college in Trossingen with Professor
Andreas Higi and Professor Luis Martin-Diego. |

1983 |
University of Passau, Lecturer in guitar, rhythm/improvisation
and music education.
Musical and pedagogic director of several ensembles for Brasilian and
Argentinian music (Banda de Moleques, Los Gringos del Tango). |

1987 |
Graduaded from the State music college in Trossingen. |

Commenced Brasilian percussion studies with Dudu Tucci. |

Founded the Passau Music Institute. |

Jürgen Schwenkglenk's compositions are edited in Germany by the
music publishers Burger & Müller
and in France by Ed. Henry Lemoine. They have also been published in the
manuscript archieve of
the German association for musicians (Deutschen Tonkünstlerverband).
Regular concert performances across Europe as well as in India, Israel,
Argentina and Brasil. |

CD debut: "el bailador solitario" comprising original
compositions for solo guitar and
guitar with other instruments. |

2002 |
Beginning of an intercultural music project in association
with Brasilian conductor Vinicius de Carvalho and Argentinian bandoneón
player Fernando Taborda, with numerous concert performances in Buenos
Aires (Argentina), Juiz de Fora (Brasil), Munich and Passau (Germany).
The repertoire consists mainly of orchestra works and chamber music by
Heitor Villa-Lobos, Astor Piazzolla, Josef Haydn, Guerra Peixe, Jürgen
Schwenkglenks and others, as well as arrangements of Latin American
traditional and popular music. |

Second CD. "magali" featuring "Los Gringos del Tango" with
original compositions
in the tango, milonga and vals tradition. |

2005 |
Third CD. "portenos y gringos - porque quiero", recorded in
Buenos Aires and Passau.
